CNBC gets the Twitter Buzz

Yesterday was Twitter day on CNBC.  Twitter CEO Evan Williams was on the network a few times during the day and the on-air talent has been plugigng their connection to their Twitter account. In fact we read that Twitter was mentioned 24 times on CNBC yesterday.  It seems amazing that the buzz has grown so significantly over the last few months on Twitter. It has grown even faster than the increase in unemployment.  Does everyone really have so much time during the work day to send mindless text messages to the abyss of Twitter?

Once again we draw you to the question of how we can remain focused on our work and responsibilities while finding the time (and need) to sift through all of the information at our fingertips.  All of us at Financial Kudos really enjoy the Twitter tools and many other tools, but our issues are targeted at maintaining our focus while utilizing these tools in a productive manner.  We think that in the investment community harnessing all of this information in a productive and profitable way is truly the killer app. 

In the meantime, and until Financial Kudos makes its debut, enjoy the Twitter buzz and the CNBC crew making the Twitter family a group of celebrities.

Bull Market? Bear Market Rally? Does anybody know?

Have you checked out all of the information out there over the last 24 hours?  Mind boggling really. There are opinions that range the spectrum from the absurd to the practical.  Who should I believe?  Who should I follow?  Is there a batting average I can point to?  Is their some statistic that let's me know who the good from the bad information so I can make well informed trades?

The truth is that the Internet is amazing, but it's now time to filter out the babies from the bath water. Financial Kudos will set the standard for well intentioned and more importantly good, strong opinions from smart investors.

Learning from the smart guys.

Forget the "awkward" markets we have been going through - at least for the moment. 

It's time to reflect on the type of investor you are and what kind of information you need to make smart choices.  Are you a fast trader, a long term investor, a stock picker?  

This morning I have been listening to the really smart guys on CNBC who have been investing in the markets and have witnessed just about everything.  Leon Cooperman, Mario Gabelli and Micheal Steinhardt have been discussing the markets, each discussing their own invesmtnet style and perspective. Frankly, it has been the most useful CNBC show in a long time.  Listening to the perspective form these folks makes us understand what defines 'good' information.  Isn't it time you had access to really good information and perspective?  

A group of smart minds having an intelligent conversation about the markets gives insight to us all. It doesn't matter what kind of investor you are you need access to good information all the time and from all perspectives. Not just when the smart guys are kind enough to sprinkle a few pearls of wisdom on CNBC.  Financial Kudos will encourage these conversations which will appeal to all investors - regardless of your perspective - everyday and all of the time. 

Searching for talented investors.

Over the last few weeks our team has been actively searching for the talented investors on the Internet.  Not just the “traders” who pat each other on the back or give a short tweet about their latest trade, but investors who truly provide insight.   For sure, smart talent exists but where are you on the Internet and more importantly how can you monetize your insight and get rewarded for your efforts?"

Hello World - Financial Kudos is born!

Welcome to Financial Kudos and our first blog.  I must admit it is somewhat strange to be launching a revolutionary concept for the financial markets with a simple blog. However, that’s the key to Financial Kudos - keep it simple and keep it real.  We will be discussing many different issues in this blog as our new website is under construction.  Most of all we want you to know that we are here for you, to add value in your trading and financial health everyday. We want to know when we are doing things wrong as much as when we are doing things right.  

We will be asking a lot of questions so that we deliver the feature and functions investors really need and want.  The most important question we will be asking is: Are you really getting quality information on the Internet?  Does it really help you make more money and protect yourself in difficult times?  We will be working towards changing things to help you make better decisions everyday.
